About Alex Greer

Alex Greer is a passionate sports marketing professional with a lifelong love for hockey and a deep commitment to athlete development. As Business Development Manager at Black Bear Sports Group, he leverages his expertise to connect brands with hockey communities, creating impactful sponsorships that drive engagement and growth. Prior to joining Black Bear, Alex spent nearly five years at NCSA, an online product of IMG Academy and the world’s largest college recruiting platform. He supported student-athletes across 34 different sports throughout their recruitment, helping them secure opportunities to achieve their academic and athletic goals. His dedication and guidance earned him a reputation as a trusted advocate in the sports community. Alex earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from Michigan State University in 2014. During his time at MSU, he completed internships with Michigan State Athletics, Lansing United Soccer Club, and USA Hockey's National Team Development Program. He also served as president of Future Leaders in Sports and Entertainment, a campus organization dedicated to preparing students for careers in the sports industry. Outside of work, Alex enjoys reading, traveling, and electronic dance music. He resides in Chicago, but remains an avid supporter of the Detroit Red Wings, Lions, Tigers, and Pistons.
