About Alex Gut

I consider myself a very versatile person, I'm as comfortable working physically on a car as I am behind the keyboard. I'm as much of a gamer as I am an automotive enthusiast - as such I'm perfectly content functioning in all kinds of working environments and businesses. Growing up in Germany but with my family scattered all over Europe as well as Southern California I spent considerable amount of time outside Germany especially in the United States. I currently reside in France to where I came for the first time in 2007. Since then I've spent nearly 2 years in Ireland and returned to France in 2011. I speak 5 languages: German and English are native level, conversational Hungarian and French, as well as elementary Japanese that I am currently building on. Apart from being analytically minded and a team player I'm driven and passionate, which makes me a perfect asset to any sort of professional team. Before moving on to IT I was studying Design and Web Development which included 3D modelling, photography and video editing. As a result I'm highly comfortable with a whole lineup of tools from Autodesk and Adobe. Those include: Inventor, Fusion360, CAD, Maya, 3ds Max, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premier and Dreamweaver. My job at Blizzard requires me to put my abilities and capacities to work on a daily basis, be it with tools like SQL and Splunk; or be it cooperating with marketing, legal and development teams. In my free time the work I do for Farmofminds goes beyond photography and writing as we're constantly working on developing new aftermarket products. Whatever time is left I spend travelling all over the world with my wife to continue to challenge and educate myself through seeing the unseen and blending into different cultures.
