Actively working to expand access to two key industries: 1.) Affordable high complexity CLIA testing with rapid turn-around time for the Boise Metropolitan Area. 2.) Next-Generation Sequencing for bioscience researchers at the university and across the globe.Some highlights of my career thus far include-Working with Ohio State University to create a novel non-invasive pathogen detection method to pinpoint potential disease outbreaks to individual buildings-Creating a high-complexity CLIA approved multiplexed PCR test for the four most common STI pathogens at a quarter of the cost at the time-Mentoring undergraduate and graduate research students on early-career research.
