About Alex Harris

I'm a software engineer with experience in C++, Python, and Agile development practices. I'm in it for the problem-solving, continual learning, and team-based project work. I take pride in becoming excellent at what I do, and in writing clean, effective code, but my interests are broader than technology - I taught myself to write software while studying to achieve the award for best academic performance in my Philosophy, Politics, and Economics degree, and I am always learning something new. For example, right now I'm taking an online course in mathematics. In my current position, I'm building my teamwork and communication skills alongside my techincal ones. All this makes me a valuable asset in many ways. In the long term, my major goal is to have a positive impact on the world through my career.
