About Alex Hatcher

I am currently a Junior student at Miami University where I am actively pursuing both a major in Supply Chain and Operations Management and a minor in Computer Science. Freshman year, I had the privilege of being apart of the Miami University Farmer School of Business KeyBank Client Challenge where I was able to sharpen my skills in various areas such as team work, leadership, analytical thinking, SQL, and organization. Additionally, the Client Challenge gave me a look into the real business world by solving a real business problem using actual data. At Miami, I am involved in multiple organizations which I hope will help me learn and practice important skills I will use once I graduate. For example, I am an active member of the Supply Chain Management Association. This club enables me to gain important knowledge of day-to-day activities inside large corporations, such as Proctor and Gamble, by hosting workshops and keynote speakers. Another organization I am a member of is the Mu Upsilon chapter of Phi Gamma Delta. I currently hold the position of recruitment chair which requires me to communicate with a network of individuals to schedule and plan social events. Additionally, I am part of a committee that organizes several philanthropy events each year. The most recent philanthropy event I have been a part of was "Dropping the Puck on Cancer" an event that has raised over for the Luna Cares foundation since its inception in 2014.
