About Alex Helbert

I have years of experience in the food production industry and am familiar with a variety of operating procedures ranging from operating machinery, canning, packaging, and baking. I have gained experience in the research and development field by creating or making comparable recipes or products for special order. I have an intimate knowledge of cold brew coffee operations from brewing, filling kegs, CIP procedures, and packaging product using a can line, and the coffee roasting process. In the last year, I have been part of a hydroponic tech company and have a working knowledge of vertical and horizontal indoor growing systems, plant science, recognizing and mitigating nutrient deficiencies in relation to various herbs and microgreens, and an understanding of plant growth cycles in relation to proper germination and quality of grow out. Additionally, I teach adult education and ESL and regularly work with/ am in contact with a diverse group of students in which I handle sensitive documentation. I am currently studying for additional certifications to better help my students.
