About Alex Herbert
Having completed two internships at GSK while studying at University of Manchester, I graduated in 2019 and joined Astrazeneca’s Global Operations Graduate Programme which enabled me to move throughout Global Operations on a rotational basis to experience a variety of roles. Throughout the graduate programme I remained ambitious and motivated, working to deliver objectives in a short time frame within each role. This allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of operations, from procurement to packing operations, and global supplier management. I also have a passion for Wellbeing and lead the Wellbeing Committee in my department in an effort to break the stigma around mental health, deliver advice and informative content to colleagues, and implement new ways of working such as an improved way of recording psychological risks in the workplace, to drive a more proactive and preventative approach toward mental health.
