About Alex Hunter

Impact – why do we exist if not to have an impact? My personal and professional goal is to understand impact and to improve on it. I do this by: 1) Measuring it – You can’t improve if you don’t know your baseline. I recognise the importance of taking a holistic view of measuring impact and do this by triangulating findings from quantitative data analysis, observing operational practice, and gaining qualitative feedback from stakeholders. 2) Listening – How can you improve without listening intently to those around you? I do this by asking the right questions and genuinely listening to the answers. By limiting preconceptions and subjective thinking, I try to hear the real viewpoints and act on them in a balanced manner. 3) Shared Aims, Shared Actions – You won’t achieve your aim without action, an action is nothing without an aim, and you won’t get far without each other. With this in mind, I continually work on bringing the team together so that we can outline our shared goals and agree the actions needed to achieve them.
