About Alex Jacobs

I am currently a fourth-year Supply Chain and Logistics Management student at Oregon State University. I'm pursuing a second major in Business Administration, with a Sports Business focus as well, as sports have always been a passion of mine. Upon my anticipated graduation in June '24, I am open to a variety of work in the SCLM field and have specific interests in Procurement/Sourcing, Logistics, Warehousing, and Supply Chain Planning to name a few. I am open to travel and relocation as well. Most recently I interned with Reser's Fine Foods in their purchasing department over the summer of '23. During my time, I assisted the purchasing department in writing and overseeing purchase orders. However, my most proud accomplishment was developing and implementing an automation system using Microsoft Power Automate that automatically pulls inventory data from many reports multiple times throughout the day. This allowed for a reduction of errors in manually pulling the twenty-three reports that are used and assist the department in everyday purchasing decisions. While at Reser's I also spent time applying 5S/Kaizen concepts and continuously improving processes.
