About Alex Lemanski

I am a Madison, Wisconsin based web developer with experience working with organizations ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. The core of my experience and practice is implementing and maintaining superbly crafted websites and web applications. In 2008 I founded Bitfyre to fulfill my passion for designing and developing accessible, SEO-friendly digital experiences that are enjoyable to use and easy to maintain. In this and all projects, I focus primarily on the effect that each pixel or line of code will have on a user’s experience and perception. In 2010 I started working for Trilogy Interactive as a Front-End Developer. I build and maintain User Interfaces for nationally-recognized political campaigns, non-profits, and government organizations. I also help define and test the technical portions of Trilogy's mobile strategy and act as their resident expert on accessibility. I earned a BFA degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with dual emphases in Graphic Design and Ceramics. I was honored to speak at South by Southwest Interactive in 2010 and will be speaking there again in 2012. I was a member of and spoke at number of Milwaukee design and technology-oriented user groups. I was also the lead organizer of RubyMKE (a local Ruby user group).
