About Alex Maslin

I am a Senior Technical Business Analyst with 18 years of experience re-engineering business processes and delivering technology solutions across complex enterprise environments. I engage deeply with people, information, and systems to understand what the business actually needs, and then translate that into outcomes that satisfy stakeholders and delight users.Across 20+ projects I have led and served in cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable change across the full software development lifecycle. I bring together customer experience insights, process and data analysis, and technical expertise to solve complex problems - from requirements elicitation and stakeholder sign-off through to agile delivery, sprint planning, and production release. I have a strong track record of building relationships, effective facilitation, and clear communication with senior management, business, and technology teams. My technical BA practice spans systems integration, API specification and validation, logical data modelling, and field-level data mapping. I use rapid prototyping techniques, including Claude Code and Figma tooling, to build functional prototypes that enable stakeholders to validate designs before development commences. I work across agile, hybrid, and waterfall methodologies, establishing delivery frameworks, backlog structures, and sprint roadmaps using JIRA and Confluence. My BA practice is now augmented by AI tools that accelerate analysis, prototyping, and solution development, allowing me to focus more on strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement while delivering higher quality outcomes faster. I am enthusiastic about collaborating in-person or remotely with teams that value evidence-based decision making and genuine process improvement.
