Alex advises on risk allocation, prepares contracts and advises on legal issues arising from all contractual aspects of project delivery. He acts for clients in all aspects of dispute resolution including pre-dispute strategy, informal resolution and formal dispute resolution processes including adjudication, arbitration, expert determination and litigation. His legal passions include the effective management and mitigation of project risk and efficient, cost-effective and proportionate dispute resolution. Dispute resolution Alex has extensive experience in all jurisdictions in eastern Australia and has acted for clients involved in infrastructure projects (Citylink, Victorian Desalination Plant), commercial and residential buildings, process engineering (biodiesel plant, Chemeq antimicrobial, stockfeed mill), mining (Caval Ridge) and Australia’s only nuclear facility (Lucas Heights). Advice work Alex has prepared and extensively advised on all major forms of construction contract in use in Australia with particular expertise in the Australian Standard forms of contract. Security of Payment Alex also has expertise in advice, adjudication and litigation on security of payment regimes in all Australian states. He co-authored an industry handbook on the security of payment legislation.
