About Alex Mitchell

Starting out at the Confederation of British Industry, I worked on policy, briefings, and strategic communications for some of the UK’s most influential companies. At the Institute of Directors, I led national initiatives before founding IoD 99, a network for high-growth entrepreneurs. Within four years, it grew to members, supporting a community of Founders that generated over jobs, and raised £100M+ in funding, all with a 50/50 gender balance. Alongside that, I co-founded the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance, which today represents over founders worldwide. I led UK delegations, worked with government and business leaders, and helped embed youth entrepreneurship into G20 policy communiqués. I’ve led major partnerships with McKinsey & Company, EY, and Accenture, and worked with delivery partners like the Start Up Loans Company to design and manage scalable, multi-stakeholder programmes for entrepreneurs on the ground. I also founded Kit Us Out, a charity supporting athletes from 70+ countries with over pieces of performance kit, and recently expanded to deliver kit and equipment to 150+ grassroots clubs across the UK, managing end-to-end logistics, partnerships, and volunteer teams to deliver impact at scale. I’ve held board roles at the European Confederation of Entrepreneurs, Enterprise UK, vInspired and Paddle Scotland, as well as acting as a school governor and an Advisor through the Commonwealth Secretariat and the UN Youth & Gender Equality programme. Most recently, I’ve held advisory and project management roles with fast-scaling companies operating at the frontier of AI, Gaming, and streaming technology, supporting founders and teams on project management, go-to-market strategy, community building, and positioning for impact and growth. PRINCE2-certified, I bring a structured, delivery-focused approach to complex programmes, ensuring they land on time, on budget, and with measurable results.
