About Alex Monk

As a hobby I've acted in, run, and been hired to do over a hundred improv comedy shows. This unique hobby gives me an amazing skill in improvisation which is uniquely valuable within the recreation field. Working with kids and coming up with programming ideas and unique training for elite athletes at Airhouse in BC, to working with seniors of varying abilities to provide exceptional and creative recreation programs, which earned me a customer service award in 2022, my creative endeavors is at the heart of everything I do. I'm passionate about the recreation field because I believe it's essential to whole health well being and everyone can find something that speaks to them, whether it's sports, arts, volunteer, or charity work. Most importantly recreation should be treated as essential and everyone should be able to have access to programs despite economic status, abilities, and special accommodations. I want to help bring programs, joy, and fulfillment to the lives of others, through recreational programming!
