About Alex Nichol

In 2022 I launched Epimelis Technical Services. The company is dedicated to delivering practical solutions to geological issues. Over my career I have worked for major miners at tier 1 deposits through to junior miners on small marginal operations. This broad range of experience allows me to generate an appropriate solution for each client. My areas of experience are in mine geology, new mine development, near mine exploration, team building and mentoring. Additionally, I have experience in auditing projects for operational readiness. This auditing covers both technical and organisational aspects. The output of the auditing process documents any issues and suggests solutions. If further assistance is required, I can follow through and contribute to the delivery of those solutions. I have been involved in starting or re-starting six mines. This has given me a deep understanding of the requirements for successfully transitioning a project from exploration to operations. The assessment and mitigation of geological risk (safety, environmental and financial) has been a core focus of my experience.
