About Alex Or

Alex Or currently manages Dolby's relationships with film studios and key creatives to bring top quality content for movie-goers. Alex joined Dolby in 2010 to drive adoption of Dolby® technologies across home and cinema ecosystems. He then took leadership position in marketing to launch and promote Dolby Atmos® across cinema, home and mobile ecosystems from 2012 to 2016. In 2016 summer, Alex and his team brought Dolby Cinema with Dolby's top audio and imaging technologies to consumers in China. Alex has experiences in marketing, business development, and management in the technology and media industries. Prior to joining Dolby, he oversaw marketing for Celestial Pictures, a Hong Kong–based Asian-content media company with worldwide entertainment assets in the motion picture, television, and new media industries. Previously, Alex worked for two leading media and telecommunications companies in Hong Kong: PCCW and i-CABLE. While at PCCW, he planned and implemented customer acquisition and retention programs for the company’s telecommunication business. At i-CABLE, he was responsible for launching broadband Internet and online content services. He received education from top universities in Asia, including studied at the University of Hong Kong as an undergraduate and at Chinese University of Hong Kong’s Graduate School of Business.
