About Alex Parubets

I am a contributing member of a health care team. The unique value that I bring to my community hospital is a deep understanding of the inner workings of complex information processing systems - a mastery developed over 16 years of building large software systems. After 4 years of training in engineering science at the University of Toronto, I accumulated 16 years of professional practice in software engineering, with emphasis on complex database and health care IT systems. This was followed by 5 years of working daily alongside front-line staff in a hospital radiology department. This real-world hospital experience, combined with my deep understanding of how information processing systems and vendors really work, has prepared me to bring the power of information processing to bear in new, relevant, and workable ways on the challenges of health care delivery, to the benefit of staff, patients and the community.
