The problem-solving involved in developing innovative and novel software solutions has fascinated me ever since I got my hands on a CIP03 (a Sinclair ZX Spectrum clone) at age 11.Working as a Lead Software Engineer at ABUSIZZ AG, this passion is sated by the multiple challenges I get to unravel while:> developing and improving their products' finger tracking algorithm (using C++ and Python)> optimizing the custom OS (using Docker, Linux kernel, Linux drivers, C++, and Bash)> developing new features and apps for the GUI (using Node.js, TypeScript, React.js, and GCP)Prior to joining ABUSIZZ AG, I worked as:> a Senior Software Engineer at BUNNYSHELL, where I developed multiple platform features, including an open-source tool to enable remote development on Kubernetes clusters using Go and Kubernetes> a Technical Lead at TRADESHIFT, where I designed and implemented, together with my team, a microservice architecture for a B2B marketplace that integrates with TRADESHIFT's invoice workflow> a Technical Solution Architect at INNOBYTE, where I was instrumental in the creation of multiple software solutions, such as: computer vision @ Abusizz, electrical-vehicle route planning @ Chargetrip and numerous Magento2 based projects. My love of learning new technologies and applying them to real-world problems isn't limited to my work day. In my free time, I go searching for difficult software problems to solve by competing in CTF-style (Capture The Flag) security competitions. Whether reverse, cryptography, pawn, or other challenge types, the more intricate the problem, the more fun I have finding the right solution. Aside from the years of self-improvement and the learning involved in these competitions, I have three certifications in Heterogeneous Parallel Programming, Machine Learning, and Supervised Machine Learning from Coursera. My tech stack includes: Python, Typescript, Nodejs, C++, golang, PHP, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Helm, Terraform, serverless, MongoDB, AWS, GCP, K8s, Docker, and Git.
