Alex is an experienced senior legal executive and strategic legal advisor. Currently, he serves as a senior member of the legal team at Luminar Technologies, Inc.(Nasdaq: LAZR), where he heads the corporate legal function. Luminar is an autonomous vehicle sensor and software company with the vision to make autonomy safe and ubiquitous by delivering the only lidar and associated software that meets the industry's stringent performance, safety and economic requirements. Previously, Alex served as the Vice President, Legal, of NETGEAR, Inc.(Nasdaq: NTGR), where he led the corporate, securities, governance and commercial legal functions for the market-leading, global networking company with approximately employees in 20 countries and annual net revenue in excess of $1 billion. He served as a strategic advisor and business partner to the Board of Directors, senior management team and internal business departments worldwide. Earlier in his career, he practiced corporate and securities law at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the premier legal advisor to technology, life sciences, and growth enterprises worldwide, as well as the venture firms, private equity firms, and investment banks that finance them. At WSGR, Alex served as outside general counsel to clients in diverse industries and provided pragmatic and business-oriented daily operational and legal support to senior management and Boards of Directors. Among a broad range of experiences, transactions and clients, he specialized in preparing private companies for initial public offerings and public company responsibilities.
