About Alex Pinker

Recently new to the world of cheffing but have fallen in love with the whole process from start to finish. Being in the kitchen doesn’t really feel like work and I love being able to cook meals that grab my clients eye and I enjoy being able to be given the freedom to present my dishes as I see fit. Covered various of areas of kitchen work, worked my way up from being the pot wash to holding my current position now as a Chef de Partie. Deputised as de facto head chef for a period of six weeks whilst there was an issue with recruitment. This opened up more experiences to me as menu planning, ordering, stock taking and overall presentation of the front of house area for service. Some of this tasks I still continue to do as I constantly want to be leaning and want to be knowing what it takes to a keep a kitchen moving on a daily basis.
