Background
About Alex Pinnon
I have about 18 years of academic experience, studying critical theory, literature, religious studies, and philosophy. I started my teaching career as a GA at Missouri State University, and then I was hired as a lecturer in philosophy and the program director of the Darr Honors Program at Missouri State University-West Plains. For the past ten years, I have taught literature, ethics, philosophy, English studies, and varying humanities. Branching into my other interests, I am the current Esports Head Coach at MSU-WP, and I have written and published a variety of essays and reviews concerning narrative-styled games. I have strong interests in pop-culture, fantasy, and gaming, especially in highlighting their important cultural contributions to society and storytelling.
