Background

About Alex Rao

I lead airport operations with a focus on safety, compliance, and operational reliability. My experience is grounded in running day-to-day operations at a Part 139 commercial service airport, coordinating across FAA, TSA, air traffic control, and public safety partners to maintain control in both routine and high-pressure situations. My approach is built on consistency and accountability. Airports operate in a regulated and unforgiving environment, and performance has to hold under stress. I focus on building systems and expectations that support disciplined operations, clear decision-making, and strong coordination across teams.I have spent my career developing across operations, security, and emergency response, with experience leading multi-agency coordination and supporting executive-level decision making. I understand how operational performance connects to airline confidence, passenger experience, and long-term airport growth.I am focused on continuing to grow into broader leadership roles where I can contribute at a strategic level while maintaining a strong operational foundation.
