About Alex Rumi

Expert strategist and director highly experienced and fluent in all facets of operations, project management, sales and production. With more than a decade of professional experience in finance, management consulting and strategy, I bring a meaningful and unique perspective to the forefront of all projects I curate, challenging the norms and using a solutions-oriented approach. From ideation to execution, I’ve become a sharp writer who brings journalistic expertise, driven by an undying passion for quality products and content. After studying economic and sustainable development, I had the opportunity to join Canada’s leading government relations and management consulting firm where I specialized in assisting companies to navigate uncertainty within highly-regulated environments. With all the knowledge I was acquiring, I also became adept in Real Estate Development, Sales and Customer Service, Finance, Insurance and equity, all leading me to where I am now: Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of GOOD BUDS. In its early days, I joined my brother Tyler Rumi, helping lead the construction of the GOOD BUDS site, building what is now an award-winning family farm and Canada’s leading craft, organic cannabis producer based on Salt Spring Island BC. Focused on sustainable operations and BC's first Living Wage Employer, GOOD BUDS is proudly Certified Organic through the Fraser Valley Organic Producers Association (FVOPA). Our products are currently distributed across more than 700 retail partners across 5 provinces across Canada.
