About Alex Sayers

Alex Sayers is vice president of Corporate Development at Raymond James Financial, where he is responsible for supporting the sourcing, analysis, and execution of firm-wide M&A initiatives. Prior to his current role, Alex was head of strategy and finance for Supervision, where he supported Supervision’s initial operating model strategy, and was responsible for establishing strategic priorities and leading financial and resource management efforts. Before that, Alex led the financial budgeting and planning for what is now Global Wealth Solutions, alongside providing analytical support as part of a task force that directed the firm’s response to the evolving fiduciary regulatory environment. Alex began his career as part of Raymond James’ rotational leadership development program, after which he accepted a permanent position with the Alternative Investments Group in a role focused on private markets and investment product research. Alex graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with bachelor’s degrees in business administration and computer science and graduated with an MBA with high honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he was a Wallman Scholar. Alex is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
