Decades of experience servicing the defence, industrial and commercial markets with a particular focus on Electronic Warfare, Countermeasures and Radar-ESM fields. An engineer at heart with a multi-disciplinary skill set covering many fields of electronics from RF/microwave through to bare-metal embedded systems. This allows me to bridge the classical analogue, RF and modern digital micro-electronic fields with ease. I'm very experienced and well-practiced in taking a concept from specification all the way through to a customer deliverable product both individually and as part of a team. I often take on the role of the internal-customer, ensuring we meet both the requirements they demand and the points they haven't yet considered. Capable of investigating, selecting and proposing the most suitable technology for a particular problem and have many years of experience using DC/transient, linear & EM simulation tools for RF circuit design. First started using Altium Designer in the late '90s (then Protel) to capture and realise product concepts to an exacting high standard. Whilst having a very practical approach to delivering real hardware solutions, I also have over 20 years of experience in embedded C, C++ and NI LabVIEW development and have written large test suites for a vast array of product lines. More recently self-taught VHDL & MicroBlaze using the Xilinx toolchain with Spartan FPGAs. Combining this experience of software & hardware development has allowed me to design complex products that are both tailored to automated test and also supported with the end-user software the customer needs to evaluate and integrate our solutions in to their larger systems. Equally as comfortable prototyping in the laboratory as I am interacting with customers and stakeholders to promote our products, capabilities and technologies. I've developed strong relationships with my customers leading to countless repeat orders and new product development opportunities.
