I am passionate about improving access to safe, effective primary, rural hospital and emergency care where it is needed most, when it is needed most. This approach has driven my entire career I am a GP Anaesthetist and Emergency doctor in Rural NSW, a Retrieval consultant for RFDS and a Medical Educator for the Australian College of Remote and Rural Medicine. I am an ex Royal Navy Medical Officer with front line operational experience. I also played a leading role in the emergency response to COVID-19 in Canterbury NZ. My extended interests are in disaster management, wilderness and expedition medicine, pre hospital emergency care, aeromedical retrieval and disaster and catastrophe management/tropical medicine. I am always keen to explore new and challenging work environments and personal/professional challenges and expand my skill base.
