About Alex Shutt

Hi! I'm currently a Development Engineer at Precision Acoustics, a global leader in ultrasound and acoustic measurement systems. We're a small but highly specialised team, which means I get involved in a wide range of projects. My role combines engineering, software development, project management, and technical sales. I lead the sales and delivery of all PA systems, manage custom system builds from concept through to installation, and develop and help to maintain our in-house ultrasound measurement software platform. I’m hands-on with both hardware and software, and well-versed in Python and LabVIEW. I also work within both agile and waterfall environments, depending on the project. Whether it’s designing a bespoke system for a research lab or troubleshooting software in real-time, I’m used to finding practical, effective solutions and working closely with clients to meet their needs.
