About Alex Ward
After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Kent State, I spent my first year of teaching at a New Tech high school in rural Shelby, Ohio as an American Studies teacher, a co-taught Language Arts/Social Studies course. I spent the next two years teaching Language Arts and working as a Personal Learning Coach at Cleveland High School for the Digital Arts, a revolutionary new high school for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District that teaches using recording arts, game design, and film production. I transitioned into a career as a Branch Services Librarian II at the Southeast branch of the top-rated Cuyahoga County Library system, where I supervised the Children's department, continuing to help youth get actively involved in literacy and STEM in exciting new ways. I'm currently pursuing new opportunities professionally and creatively as a content creator for Means TV and a Claims Representative for National General Insurance Company.
