I'm Alex Webster, and my firm, SDMS Robotics, builds and installs turnkey collaborative robot systems, specializing in the Southern California CNC machine tending market. I founded Hermes Sport bicycle wheels in 2009. We had a 7-year run developing, manufacturing, and distributing our own line of high-end bicycle wheels for road bikes, specializing in both alloy and carbon fiber rims for the racer and enthusiast. In 2015, we introduced our first in-house designed and locally manufactured hubset, giving our wheels handling ability superior to anything else on the market. Hermes Sport and wheels we've produced have been featured in Bicycling Magazine, Bikerumor, The Radavist Bicycle Retailer and Industry News, to name a few. Helping build local industry has, for me, been both a matter of civic responsibility and good practical business sense. Today, my firm, SDMS Robotics, is a Certified Systems Integrator for Universal Robots. I use the skills I've learned as an entrepreneur to help CNC machine shops produce new parts and optimize manufacturing processes.
