About Alex Wright

I build mobile-first user experiences to drive clients' business. I build websites using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery, Bootstrap, WordPress, and other tools. I'm committed to semantic, accessible, cross-browser code. I'm a Sacramento-based web developer, who transitioned into the industry from a background in engineering. As a freelance website developer, I’ve worked with clients through each step of the website building and maintaining process. I've joined their specific needs with responsive, standards-compliant code, and handed off well-organized, client-editable websites at the end. I continue to hone and expand my front-end skills, and look for opportunities to learn and grow. In my prior work as a mechanical engineer, I took the lead on integrating new technologies into my team’s workflow, developing the protocols, and training other team members in the software. I utilized diverse technologies and skills (3+ modeling software, 4+ types of compliance simulations), and adapted my knowledge to ever-evolving building energy standards, to meet clients’ specific project needs.
