I am a young business operator who loves connecting people, data, projects, and processes to achieve business results and move towards a vision. Here are a few insights I've learned along my journey. People 🤝 - everyone wants to show up and do well at their job. Everyone needs encouragement, clear metrics, and the rules of how to win the game. Understanding how each of us thinks/works best is the key to unlocking potential in our teams and individuals. Data - using data to tell an unbias story is hard. But it's an important task to undertake. Always rely on data to make important business decisions and remember good data in equals good decisions out. Projects - the key to accomplishing projects comes down to priority, scope, resources, and capacity. Get one wrong and it will take more time, energy, and money than you thought. Get all of them right and make sure you reproduce the same steps to achieve similar results. Process - documentation in a business is critical. Not everyone is good at creating it and even fewer are good at reading and following it. Creating and supporting a culture of process and documentation is hard but will allow scale and less head count. Don't let process slow down innovation and testing hypothesis. Use process when you want to count on a business activity to hit metrics. When I am not focused on the areas above you will find me 1. Hanging with my family 2. Reading books 3. Playing golf 4.
