About Alexa Despotakis

I majored in Biology at the University of San Diego and graduated in 2012. After graduation, I moved back home to the Bay Area and began my career in retail at Abercrombie and Fitch in order to continue developing my management and human resources skills. I relocated to San Francisco and have been working at StitchFix as a stylist for over the last two years and am currently a Senior Stylist. I am currently looking to build a long lasting career utilizing my unique skill sets. Through my studies at USD, I have learned to be efficient at time management as well as project management, public speaking, and data collection, interpretation, and writing scientific journals. While there, I also was an active member in Alpha Delta Pi and served on 2 executive boards as well as helped plan recruitment each year. This experience prepared me for running a business by teaching me how to work with other members of the executive board, to manage multiple budgets, recruit new members into our chapter, along with many other skills needed to manage my own chapter and work with 12 other chapters in the greek community at USD. While at Abercrombie & Fitch, I continued to develop these skills as well as learn new ones, such as store design and merchandising. I took the opportunity to learn a new platform in a tech-based fashion start up and joined the StitchFix team.
