About Alexa Lynch

I am currently an MSc Occupational and Organisational Psychology graduate, enjoying a fantastic new role as Welfare and Wellbeing Advisor at Gateshead College. My days are spent managing and administering school liaison activities, guiding apprenticeship applicants and maintaining outstanding customer/ student centred care. After taking a year out between receiving my first class BSc degree in Psychology to gain public sector work experience, the standard of my business and academic based reports remain of high quality. I have recently received fantastic feedback on a STEM based primary school event, organised and governed by myself, in which children could visit us and get a taste of the STEM subjects in their future! Additionally, I have received an award for the production and presentation of a study I developed during an Occupational Psychology conference. This experience demonstrates my adaptability, determination and most importantly, my fascination with the interests and well-being of employees within a large scale institution. I am always looking to take on new challenges and actively search for learning opportunities, which is why I spend 15-30 minutes every day to learn Spanish, one of the most commonly used languages in the world and a skill I feel would benefit most job opportunities. Furthermore, I am always looking to find a way of combining my passion for creativity with my love for psychology, whilst simultaneously spreading positivity and raising awareness to wellbeing issues among the younger generation.
