About Alexa Nemec

I am a sophomore in the college of Education, Health and Human Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville working towards my bachelors degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology with a minor in Public Health. I am extremely enthusiastic, organized, and possess a strong work ethic demonstrated by my position as a waitress- through actions such as showing up to my shifts on time, completing side-duties, and receiving positive feedback from customers through platforms such as Yelp. Other strengths of mine include building camaraderie amongst members of an organization. I am serving on the morale committee within VOLthon to build spirits for not only the members of the organization, but for those participating in the main event. My future interest includes working hands-on in a position with young children to help them strengthen their speaking capabilities and lead a higher quality of life. In the past I have gone to elementary schools and helped young children learn to read, and identified areas in which they struggle.
