About Alexa Prepetit

As an adventurous educator and IB science teacher, I thrive on building bridges—across classrooms, cultures, and continents. My journey has taken me from teaching in France to shaping globally minded learners in Washington, DC, and every experience has deepened my commitment to education that is innovative, inclusive, and future-focused. With a background in Education and Environmental Science, a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction, and certifications in TESOL and MYP: Sciences, I bring a cross-disciplinary, inquiry-driven approach to every learning environment. I believe education is most powerful when teachers are connected, informed, and inspired by one another. That’s why I launched my blog: to create a vibrant hub where educators can exchange ideas, discuss the latest in education policy at the state and county level, and share what’s working in real classrooms. My goal is to foster a global teaching network—one that champions collaboration, celebrates diverse perspectives, and empowers teachers to lead change together. If you’re passionate about innovative instruction, curious about global education trends, or eager to shape policy and practice, let’s connect! Join the conversation on my blog, share your insights, and help build a community where every educator’s voice matters. Together, we can create the kind of education our students—and our world—deserve.
