About Alexander Boucher

I have always want to help people. As a communication practitioner and writer, I envision a world where my stories inspire others to follow their passion and use their skills. I am fueled by artistic desire, driven through bold imagination, and utilize unorthodox methods to see my goals and objectives to their completion.Most people just call me Alex. I am a communication practitioner, who has worked in a variety of various positions, mostly internships. My first major internship was at the United States Department of Veteran Affairs in the Digital Media Engagement (DME) Team, where Veterans have the opportunity to submit their personal story and share their experiences during their military service. I worked for over a year at the DME, within their writing department, who were responsible for all of the DME’s writeups, assignments, and special projects regarding Veterans and their personal stories. I would later become a division officer and learn to manage the interns in the department, overseeing their work and maintaining the quality of work produced by the department.I would have the opportunity to work for the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in the Office of Public Affairs (OPA). There, I learned more about technical writing, management, organization, and a different form of communication entirely. After my time with the SEC expired, I moved over to the National Park Service, learning about another form of communication in tourism. I would go back to the SEC to do another internship, before heading over to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), learning about specialized and technical communications.I am a part-time fantasy author, who has written three urban fantasy novels and is hoping to get publish someday with the first one. I am also a dog lover, my favorite dog breeds are Golden Retrievers, Labradors, and Beagles. I currently owns two Golden Retrievers named Watson and Hobbes. I play Dungeons and Dragons (DND), whether it is as player or the dungeon master, I believe that playing DND has expanded my creative thought and ability.
