About Alexander Darr

I primarily represent consumers in claims alleging violations of banking and consumer financial services regulations compliance. I have significant experience working with consumer financial services companies, ranging from FinTech startups to established lenders operating in all 50 states. Because of this experience, I have also been sought out by many of those same financial institutions I have litigated against to consult and help improve their regulatory compliance efforts. I have extensive experience regarding a wide range of consumer financial protection regulations, including the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), Military Lending Act (MLA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and related state laws. I also represent plaintiffs in other actions where they are harmed or their civil rights violated. This practice includes substantial pro bono work assisting members of the disabled community assert their rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). I'm born and raised in Ohio. After graduating with honors from The Ohio State University Law School, I clerked for two years with a judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago. Shortly after my clerkship I started Darr Law, and the rest, as they say, is history.
