About Alexander Dutoy

Current experience: Satellite operations engineer as payload expert. My other two subsystems are electric power (EPS) and thermal control (TCS). I am trained in flight dynamic operations which involved planning and generating manoeuvres for a GEO satellite station keeping cycle. I am also the lead for WT and MIL experiments on board the spacecraft to test the new IOV units, including RF signals and on board processors. In this role i have created, validated, and executed procedures on my subsystems and ground operation procedures regarding ground stations. In the control software I have developed over 100 HMI displays that include live telemetry charts and SVGs with LEDs to improve upon typical SCOS telemetry tables. I am documenting a guide on operations which includes procedure creation, software support, ground and flight operation execution, experiment execution, flight dynamics, and troubleshooting. I have played an active role in the flight dynamics team for satellite relocation and I was OTM during relocation simulations. I am currently involved with simulations of LEOP procedures. I have limited experience in control center failovers regarding crypto and TTR. Future goals: To advance my knowledge in all satellite subsystems and gain more experience in operations. To work on multiple satellite missions and in different mission phases, especially for a LEOP. To further my experience in flight dynamics. Any opportunity to work on a space telescope or observatory would be specifically welcomed. My interests there lie with space weather. Studies: My background is in astrophysics with an emphasis on space weather and stellar evolution. I have a bachelors degree from the University of St Andrews and a masters degree from the University of Bonn.
