About Alexander Eckl

I studied Mathematics and Operations Research at the TUM in Munich, and also completed a PhD in theoretical computer science and algorithm analysis there. During my time at TUM, I have done research on discrete and combinatorial optimization, optimization on graphs, as well as algorithm engineering and analysis. I also dabble in uncertainty, in particular in the form of robust optimization. I love taking on challenging real-life problems from a theoretical standpoint, e.g. problems with large data sets, uncertainty, or high computational complexity. I have completed a 4 months internship developing and supervising mathematical tools in the IT department of the Munich RE Group, as well as a semester-long case studies project where our team successfully developed an examination schedule for the math department at TUM. I also have several years of teaching experience during my time at TUM. In Dec 2021, I started a new position as Software Consultant turned Senior Consultant at TNG Technology Consulting. Important skills include Python, Golang, Typescript, kubernetes, Keycloak, AWS.
