About Alexander Gehrmann

I hold an MA in International Relations (focus on geopolitics) from University of Groningen. After my first Masters in business administration (finance) and 10 years of versatile professional experience with emphasis on real estate (investment, project management, property valuation) and the internet sector, I decided to follow my passion and extend my knowledge in the field of international relations with focus on geopolitics. In this context, my primary interests lay on Middle Eastern geopolitics, geoeconomics, international security, energy, demography and socio-economic dynamics. My MA thesis deals with an analysis of Qatari foreign policy. I have collected working experience in Tunisia and research experience in Qatar. Since September 2023, I am working for Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Berlin. Thus far, I have collected working experience in four countries and I have lived in six countries (Germany, USA, Brazil, China, Netherlands and Tunisia) on five continents. I do speak German, English, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Frech, Farsi and a bit Arabic.
