About Alexander Gimse

Hi, I’m Alexander. I have a huge passion for working with people and helping people thrive however that looks for them. I’ve been working in the hospital & healthcare industry since 2019 in a variety of departments. This has helped me become skilled in EVS, Customer Service, Communication, Dispatching, and Problem Solving. Finally, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies and Human Development and am now back in school intending to be an RN. I have over 5 years of experience working with young children with behavioral or mental issues both in groups and in an individual setting. Since obtaining my degree I have been working with Adults in a level 1 psychiatric facility, but I hope to work with adolescents again. My volunteer experience as a TA for English learners and in after-school programs has also given me some leadership opportunities and practice leading groups. As a member of the LGBT community, an adoptee, and who deals with my own mental health issues, I believe my background can provide a unique perspective when working with clients. I always approach projects and jobs with an open mind by viewing each situation as an opportunity to learn and grow. This has made me firmly believe in helping each person find their voice and standing up for them if they are unable to. My love of knowledge allows me to thrive in any situation and always approach a challenge head-on.
