I’m Alexander Hero, an experienced instructional designer with a knack for designing engaging learner-focused multimedia experiences that leave a lasting impact on employees, customers, or users. As a former professional actor/playwright, I’m in love with storytelling. I craft memorable e- Learning modules that present a captivating encounter which instills knowledge, practice and mastery of vital content. My true aim as an instructional designer is to create unforgettable learning explorations that stimulate professional growth and imbue trainees with knowledge to perform better on the job, in the task, or within the interaction. I develop instructional e-learning programs to nurture staff competencies and elevate organizational performance, powered by frameworks such as ADDIE and SAM. This serves to maximize retention and drive process improvement. Underpinning this entire process is my ability to Interpret complex information into impactful evidence-based learning experiences. My ‘secret sauce’ is to befriend almost anyone, developing instant rapport with subject matter experts, co-workers, or stakeholders. Years of collaboration with actors and directors have instilled an ability to build a rapid sympatico-connection with partners in pursuit of telling a story; vital qualities in instructional design. Among my accomplishments include: • Spearheaded the development of 16 e-learning courses using Articulate Storyline and Presenter 360, enhancing learner engagement and increasing course completion rates. • Contributed to a 30% increase in e-learning course output at LAM Research, enhancing learning across various departments, including chip design, safety, onboarding, and 3D printing. • Managed high-stakes multimedia/live event broadcasts productions with over 200 attendees, coordinating all technical aspects, including video setup, graphic design, and digital archiving, ensuring professional and seamless event delivery. Fun fact: I wrote a play dramatizing a fictional encounter of Marilyn Monroe’s paramours in a hilarious and surprising comedy that was produced in San Francisco's Fringe Fest. My love of history and factual information coupled with an amusing set up, infuses the importance of storytelling in the name of instruction.
