About Alexander Marchenko

Dear Colleagues! I have 13 years working experience of supporting and implementation various Finance projects and all my professional career has been largely revolving around SAP. In September 2021, I was selected for a 4-month SAP training by EPAM. According to the results of the exams, I entered the top 10 of the best students out of 150 people and was invited to a 3-month course with an individual mentor. On the 13th of May 2022 successfully defended a Project on the topic "Sales and Distribution: From Inquiry to Return" and was enrolled in the EPAM personnel reserve. Working in UN agencies and British American Tabacco I have been involved in projects on transformation of obsolete ERP systems to SAP initially in the role of Finance assistance, then Project Manager and finally as Expert on SAP business processes. • 7 years as a Finance/Project/IT Specialist in International Organization for Migration; • 1 year as a Remediation Manager in the British American Tabacco Company; • 5 years as a Supply/Programme Assistant in the framework of UNICEF activities in Belarus; • 9 years as S.W.I.F.T. Support Engineer in the National Bank of Belarus. Being a Remediation Manager in British American Tabacco Company I was in charge of reconciliation and mapping of IFRS accounts between General and Local Ledger in the scope of Payroll, Fixed and Low Value Assets. As a UNICEF Belarus SAP Super User I investigated all issues arose in our Office in regard to Finance and Programme parts of SAP. Thus, I have accumulated a lot of practical experience on successful troubleshooting and counseling of staff. In addition to the abovementioned experience, during my work in IOM as a Project Coordinator I have successfully completed infrastructure project at border crossing checkpoint and in 2020 I was assigned to coordinate a project consisting of three components projects concerning border infrastructure improvement and development of mobile application. The level of my negotiations and cooperation on these projects was up to the Deputy Minister. Besides, I have a good educational background as I graduated from Belarusian National Technical University (major in “Mechanical Engineering”) and Belarusian State Economic University (major in “Finance and Credit”). I also passed various financial courses on IPSAS (International Public Sector Accounting Standards) and SAP, personal development trainings (development of negotiations skills, performance improvement, managing supervisees).
