Alex Meletis Campbell River BC alex_meletis@hotmail.com As a graduate student from Carleton University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies, and Loyalist College with a Diploma in Mechanical and Welding Techniques, I completed a variety of courses that helped me advance quickly within the Aquaculture industry. My most recent work experience has been focused in the Aquaculture industry as a Husbandry Assistant Manager with Cermaq Canada. I have been able to excel in both my technical knowledge and theoretical knowledge gained in college and university, as well as my time management and critical thinking skills while working and living in remote locations. Responsible for the key production duties, this position enabled me to develop skills to become more resourceful when given limited supplies and utilize all resources to complete challenging tasks. Raising Atlantic salmon for Cermaq Canada has become more then an employment experience its became a passion of mine. Previously, my technical work experience allowed me to work independently while developing certain products as well as mechanical repairs and servicing. I am excited to embark on new and exciting experiences and continue my growth in the Aquaculture industry. I believe by working in conjunction with the environment, I can contribute to making a positive impact locally and internationally if the opportunity was present through a given position. It’s my passion to help grow a more sustainable and healthy environment for all living organisms.
