About Alexander Middlemas

An establishing member of the multi award winning Flagship Southwick Altogether Raising Aspirations Project, my primary focus in has been problem solving through partnership work with public services. Developing a shared dashboard with partner services to create and disseminate information and intelligence. The SARA Project was created to reduce deprivation in Southwick, one of the most socially deprived areas in Northumbria Police’s coverage. I work closely with the housing authority, CNTW, Council, Environmental Enforcement, Social prescribing, Probation Services, Children’s Services and Social Services. I have won the Pride in Policing Award for Partnership work in 2022 along with winning the Southern Award for partnership work in 2022 and the Southern award for problem Solving in 2021.I use my partner network to achieve timely results when taking enforcement actions against known offenders. I regularly collaborate with the local Council and Hosing Authority to appear as a unified force to those committing crime. Approaching enforcement from a policing perspective, serving CPNW’s and Creating CBOs whilst also supporting enforcement from other services, supporting NOSP’s from the housing Authority. I complete weekly KPI reports for our Chief Inspector, demonstrating the productivity of the SARA policing team. I also create monthly productivity reports for our partner agencies which are disseminated to the public and are used by our strategic board to assess the success of the Project and prepare for any future needs of the SARA Policing Team.I regularly run Daily and MDT meetings, making myself and partner agencies accountable for our actions ensuring that all services have a reason for attending and leave with recordable actions. This solves issues in a timely manner and reduces likelihood of work duplication by different agencies. I am empathetic to the needs of service users, and understand that when services show a united front, work is done to the highest possible standard.I prepare Criminal Behavior Orders for court, I regularly complete Community Protection Notices and take the lead when serving them with the support of service agencies. I support the Housing Authority in serving NOSP’s to offending tenants. I assist in the completion and Serving of Closure Notices for court. I work collaboratively with my team in this along with gathering supporting statements from Housing Authorities and the Council.
