About Alexander Morris

Hello, my name is Alexander Morris. I am a graduate of Western Michigan University College of Engineering and Applied Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management Technology. I currently work in the automotive industry as an Engineering Designer for General Motors. I have been in this position for about three years. My experience within the automotive industry has allowed me to further develop my skills and knowledge within my profession. I have had the opportunity to present projects, work in a troubleshooting team, and work with teams across the globe to complete assignments. I am used to working on strict timetables and reaching desired deliverables in a timely fashion. I am a focused, efficient worker with great communication skills with a focus in written and verbal communication such as memos, emails, internal instant messaging, and presentations. As a student of engineering management, I have used LEAN manufacturing 6 Sigma, and the engineering process in multiple projects throughout my educational career. The most notable project I utilized these skills for was my engineering senior design project, Scheduling for Aseptic Manufacturing Operations. This project was for Pfizer at their global medical supply plant in Kalamazoo MI. As the leader for this project, I was responsible for scheduling the team as well as coordinating site visits with a Pfizer liaison. The result of our project allowed Pfizer to expand their manufacturing workforce without any additional physical manufacturing expansions. I have many engineering and business-related skills such as proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. I am well acquainted with video conferencing software’s such as Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Skype, and Google hangout. Additional software that I have experience with is Visio, Adobe products, CATIA, NX 11, AutoCAD, Teamcenter, and Teamcenter Visualization Mockup.
