About Alexander Post

I am currently attending University at Buffalo in Amherst, NY and I am a rising senior in the school of engineering and applied sciences. I have experience in the following programs: Excel (macros), Autodesk, Multisim, RoboCell, CNC Motion and WestPoint Bridge Designer. In high school I competed in Tech Wars twice annually as a part of the Engineering Club and a Trebuchet Competition annually. At UB, as a part of SAE our club competed in a clean snowmobile competition where we placed 5/15 and won an award for our sales presentation. In my spare time, I work on my motorcycle, and my cars as well as my friends’ cars. I have done various mechanical and electrical replacements and improvements, including replacing a heater core, digital tachometer re calibration and reinstalled a new fuel tank. Also I participated in UB’s Diversity Peer Mentoring Program and I am a part of the Hispanic Society of Professional Engineers. Currently, I work as a crew trainer at McDonald’s and assist the maintenance supervisor when needed. As a crew trainer, I am required to work in a team environment where our focus is on quality of food, speed of service, order accuracy and friendliness. I pride myself in taking care of my customers and garnering customer compliments. As an assistant to the maintenance supervisor, I help replace parts such as motors, computer boards and valves. Most recently, I helped design and fabricate personal protective equipment.
