About Alexander Schmidt

In the past, I worked as a branch manager for a bookshop back in Germany. I later decided to pursue my dream as a (freelance) writer, which led me to move abroad to The Hague. I gained some experience as a streamer on Twitch, where I hosted a lgbtq+ friendly channel with a small, international following. In recent years, I've been working as a content writer and product specialist, fluent in both English and German. I manage and own our self-help support centres, give training and product refreshers to colleagues, provide fact checks for content between departments and provide our development team with our Cloud software's copy and translations. This has given me the chance to learn about the importance of high-quality content writing, effective translation processes, knowledge management, and consistent interdepartmental communication. While looking for more career challenges that coincide with my passions for writing and languages, I always strive to identify with my position and with the vision of my team, maintaining a balance between my job and my personal creative goals.
