About Alexander Seda

As an academic tutor at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, I have supported students across multiple subjects, especially with their writing and communication skills. I have provided asynchronous essay feedback, hosted appointment and drop-in tutoring sessions, and served as an in-class tutor for developmental courses. I have also contributed to several high-level, special projects, such as advocating for the tutoring core to faculty and administrators, and reviewing essays based on specific readings. My tutoring work has revealed my talent and passion for helping others achieve their academic and personal goals. I use tools like motivational interviewing to help learners become more thoughtful, empathetic, and expressive individuals, whose growth spills over into the environments they occupy. I am eager to apply my growing skillset and experience to a larger, more creative, and cause-centric or motivated employment situation, where I can make a positive impact on the lives of others. I am a social sciences graduate with a strong academic record, including multiple honors and a high GPA. I am also proficient in editing, public speaking, and creative writing, which I enjoy as hobbies and potential career paths.
