About Alexander Sosa

Being able to contribute to the growth and success of my peers by facilitating the process by which they operate is what drives me towards a career in Data analytics. Fully understanding a concept is best demonstrated by being able to explain the concept in a manner that incites engagement. As an aspiring Business analyst I plan to be able to use my technical skills to implement change by making data results readily available for everyone’s use. As a Student at The University of Texas at Dallas I plan to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Finance. During my time at The University of Texas at Dallas I plan to become proficient at programs such as SQL and Python. Being methodical has allowed me to build an analytical mindset and progress as a critical thinker. Having a plan and approaching problems by understanding the cause of the issue has allowed me to progress in my career. I am currently able to implement my analytical mindset at State Farm as a retention specialist. I have had the opportunity to lead a group discussion on ways to implement interactions with customers that result in low customer effort. I was able to find success in first identifying what caused low customer effort. After identifying the cause we were able to use data from call frequency and common questions to provide better service. I look forward to being able to continue to gain new skills as I progress with the company. I enjoy being able to gain business insight as I pursue a career in data analytics
